Michael Michaud Table Art
The Michael Michaud Table Art collection showcases Michaud's exceptional knowledge of metalworking as well as his love of nature. In a similar style to his beloved Silver Seasons Jewelry collection, Michael Michaud creates each piece of Table Art directly from botanical elements to create "copies of nature" which reflect the beauty of the natural world. Michael Michaud attended the Rochester Institute of Technology's prestigious school for American craftsman, where he became a master of mold creation and manipulation as well as precious and semi-precious metal casting. Born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Westport, Connecticut, Michaud Michaud now resides in Fairfield, CT and is proud that his wife and three children are all involved in his business.
Michael Michaud Table Art is cast in pewter and gold plated, with some designs also incorporating zinc, brass, sterling silver, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls and hand blown glass. Each piece begins with a mold created directly from a botanical element using a process similar to the lost-wax casting method. Michaud then manipulates these molds into unique functional designs ranging from napkin rings and serving utensils to picture frames and desk accessories. Michael Michaud Table Art is handcrafted at Michael's studio in New York City.
