Our Position on Selling, Renting or Trading Your Information

At Best American Arts, we do not sell, rent or trade your personally identifiable information or your transaction information to third parties. Personally identifiable information and transaction information is used only in connection with our business as explained in this Policy.

Personally Identifiable Information

Of most concern to everyone is the personally identifiable information we must collect when you make a purchase of good or services from our Site. In general, our Site uses a registration form to sign up to receive information from us including emails and an electronic order form to purchase products and services from us. Obviously, to provide these products and services, we must collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, and credit card number. You may choose to save your credit card information in our system, but that is optional. Also, when a gift is involved, we may need personal information about the intended recipient.

We use this personally identifiable information to arrange delivery, to send confirmation of sales, adjustments or other transaction information, and to otherwise communicate with you or the recipient. We may also, from time to time, use this information to ask how well we are meeting your expectations or to explain additional information or updates about our business, products and services. You or a gift recipient may decide to opt-out of any extra communications at any time by sending us an email asking to opt-out at or sending us a letter asking to opt-out at Best American Artists and Artisans, Inc., 1391 W 5th Ave #342, Columbus, Ohio 43212.

Through your web browser, cookies are noted on your computer's hard drive making it possible for us to recognize your browser on return visits to our Site and this may save you time during visits and checkout. Your browser must be set to accept cookies in order for you to enjoy the benefits of being a registered user of the Site. This non-personally identifiable information may be used to help us improve the Site, diagnose problems and understand better how people use the Site.

Our Service Providers and Other Matters

We believe our hosting and business service partner WiredTree, Inc. to be a secure environment, and we have confidence in our credit card processor VeriSign, a part of the PayPal System. Of course, we must share personally identifiable information and transaction information with these and other business service partners who help us provide products and services to you such as UPS, Fed Ex and the USPS. In addition, we work directly with our artists who may ship some products directly to you or the gift recipient, and they and their service providers must receive some of this personal information as well.

We may also work with others who provide order processing, order fulfillment, website diagnostics or improvements, banking or credit card services, marketing, e-commerce affiliation, data analysis, email dissemination and other business services. Personally identifiable information and transactional information may be shared with or be accessed by such third parties for the purpose or as a result of providing such business services.

While we have tried to be prudent in selecting service providers and other business partners and in setting our business practices, there is always risk in conducting business, especially over the Internet and no systems are ever 100% secure. There is always the risk that personal information is altered or misused by someone and this is a risk everyone accepts in using the Site.

In accordance with applicable law, we reserve the right to release information concerning anyone using the Site where we have a good faith belief that this person or entity may be in violation of their obligations to us or may be involved in some unlawful activity, where we are responding to civil subpoenas or discovery requests, where we are attempting to protect the interests of our business, our customers or others, or where otherwise permitted or required by law.

We want everyone using the Site to have a great experience, but please let us know if you have any problems or concerns of any kind, including a concern that this Policy was violated.
