· Michael Michaud's American Elm collectiom features hand patinaed bronze with brown freshwater pearls. As nearly all of his predecessors had added tress to the forest-like landscape at the White House, so President Woodrow Wilson planted an American Elm on the North Lawn in 1913. To plant a tree signifies hope, an emotion the president needed as his two terms unfolded on the eve of the Great War in Europe. This collection was created in collaboration with the White House Historical Association.
