· Michael Michaud's Rosemary Jewelry features hand-patinaed bronze rosemary leaves. Rosemary, also called Rosmarinus officinalis, is a perennial herb with fragrant, evergreen, needle-like leaves and white, pink, purple or blue flowers, native to the Mediterranean region. Rosemary is used as a decorative plant in gardens and has many culinary and medical uses. It was also featured at weddings as a sign of fidelity and was often carried in a bride's bouquet. In ancient Greece Rosemary was thought to improve the mind and memory and later came to signify remembrance. The plant is also sometimes called Anthos from an ancient greek word meaning 'flower.' Each piece is carefully handcrafted in Michael Michaud's New York City Studio.
