· The Sequoia collection was created in celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Yosemite Grant Act signed by President Lincoln to protect Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove which contains sequoias believed to be up to 2400 years old. Sequoia refers to on of the redwood coniferous trees found mostly in North America. Giant sequoias are the world's largest tree by volume and can grow to heights of more than 300 feet. Michael Michaud's sequoia collection features oxidized and hand patinaed bronze. Each piece is carefully handcrafted in his New York City studio.
