Jewelry artisan Patricia Locke has been crafting fine jewelry since 1971. Self-taught, Patricia started out doing privately commissioned jewelry in sterling silver and gold before launching her own collection of fashion jewelry in 1979. In 1997, Deborah Rethemeyer joined Patricia as a design and business partner. Releasing new collections annually, the studio now employs a select team of artisans who help to handcraft each of designs. Patrica Locke Jewelry now stands as one of America's premier contemporary jewelry collections.
Patricia and Deborah create new design annually and pieces are released throughout the year. Each collection is uniquely themed. Pieces are then colored with a "Color Story" featuring a wide variety of semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, glass beads, and faux pearls. Color stories are unique in both name and the stones utilized.
Patricia's jewelry is fabricated in bronze and pewter with antiqued gold and silver plating. Her work is recognizable for it's use of negative space, asymmetrical geometric multi-metal combinations and it's classic, heirloom sensibilities. With exquisite attention to detail, every piece of jewelry is handcrafted at the artist's studio outside of Chicago, Illinois.
